I had an old roll of Kodak Portra 400 sitting in my camera for over a year. Occasionally I took pictures with it but never felt the urge or necessity to finish it until recently. I had photos on this roll that I totally forgot about. When I saw the photos developed I felt nostalgia more than anything. The photos took me back to old memories and experiences.
Sometimes it's nice to let photos sit and stew for a while. The photos aren't necessarily the greatest I've ever taken but in a time of instant gratification when it comes to photos, film still feels more special.
